Learning is a lifelong process; it never stops until the day we die. As educators, we are charged to stay on the cutting edge of our profession, to not just learn but to implement best practices. All students can learn and achieve, it is our work to engage them in relevant/meaningful ways. Each of us bares a responsibility to encourage and support youth in reaching their potential, not only as students but also as people.
It is an honor and a privilege to live and work in this community and to be surrounded by the Lakota Culture. In the 24 years that I have been a part of the Todd County School System, I have learned a great deal from students, their families and other educators; it has been and continues to be a great journey. We have a tremendous responsibility to make our school a place where the vast majority of our students find success; I believe that TOGETHER we can rise to the challenge.
